The Artists: Georgie Britton
Georgie Britton is a contemporary landscape painter who lives and works in North Yorkshire. After relocating from London and the south, Georgie has been hugely inspired by her new, more rural environment. The core theme of her paintings explores pattern formations and colour relationships within the natural landscape. This fascination holds strong parallels with her former career as a textile and interior designer. Georgie’s paintings lie somewhere between figuration and semi-abstraction.
Georgie graduated in 2000 with a BA(Hons) in Textile Design from Central St Martins College of Art & Design, London, followed later in 2006 by a Graduate Diploma in Interior & Spatial Design from Chelsea College of Art & Design, London. She exhibits throughout the UK both privately and commercially.
